It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to write a post about gratitude!

Sometimes it’s hard to say goodbye to a part of our life that has felt like home for so long. It’s become a part of ourselves that feels like a comfy pair of jeans – and even though they are old and wearing thin in places, we love them – or at least we used to love them.
That’s what’s hard: differentiating between currently loving this part More

This is sort of a continuation on yesterday’s post – which was to ask yourself how your life would be different if fear weren’t part of the equation. Have you ever said no to certain opportunities that came your way because you were afraid? Have you ever imagined how different your life would look if you made a conscious choice to jumping (or even leaping) out of your comfort zone and going for it – fear and all?
As I mentioned yesterday, I have spent the last year doing More

I was watching Oprah’s Facebook interview last night on OWN, and, as always, I was thrilled to soak up her wisdom. I actually took notes. She is one of the world’s greatest teachers, and I can’t wait to be a part of her Lifeclass that starts next week.
I took away so many beautiful bits of wisdom for my own life, but I wanted to share one part of the interview with each of you. She asked the following question:
What Would You Do If You Weren’t Afraid?
This is definitely a More

Shared Wisdom Guest Post
Featuring Domini Heddermen from Renaissance Housewife
As I begin this new post, a blank page sits enchantingly before me. How I’m enjoying my new writing life. Since I was a young child, I’ve always wanted to live this life, and now here I am: filling in the empty pages that have sat empty for so long. I can truly say that I’ve started to live my dream. One of them, anyway. But the start of this feels like the start of so much and I feel I’m at the edge of truly More

If you had to list five books that impacted your life the most, what would you say?
I have read so many wonderful books over my lifetime, so this is definitely not an easy task. I’ll share the five that came to mind right away, but I have a feeling there will be many others that I will want to add just as soon as I remember them.
I fell completely in love with Morrie and the life lessons that he so graciously imparted on all of us when I first read this book.
I read More

Here is this week’s question (submitted anonymously):
How would you deal with a coworker who feels that it is her job to tell me how to do my job? What would be a good way to respond to this person More

Are you an efficiency expert? Do you pride yourself on micro-scheduling your day so that every single second is accounted for and not “wasted”?
I am. Or at least I think I am. I realized this just now. And, boy, it was a wake-up call that I didn’t like waking up to.
I was thinking about a road trip that Dan and I are excited to take. It’s a day trip, and we’ll have a couple of hours each way in the car together. I was just sitting here thinking that we could rehearse More

I have been embarking on a new path over the past few months – and each day brings a new set of discoveries and territories to explore. I am forging along without a tangible map – allowing signs from the universe to guide my way. This is a brand new way of living for me, and I must say that it doesn’t always come naturally. So I keep pushing forward and hope More

It’s not always easy to open up. To be raw. To be vulnerable. To let others see the real you – to let yourself see the real you. To tell it like it truly is. To let go of any pretenses. To step out without a mask. To show your soul.
And yet – what is the alternative? Living a life that isn’t truly yours. Going about your day in fear. Constantly worrying what others will say. Wondering if they will approve of you. If you will approve of you. Wondering if what you said was More

Do you believe in signs and synchronicity – messages from the universe?
Certain events have occurred over the past year that have made me a believer.
I believe in the universe, faith, divinity, and love. I believe that there is a power guiding each of us. I believe that we each see evidence of this power every single day – some we pay attention to, and others we are completely unaware of. The signs that I see and feel on a daily basis are the knock-you-over-your-head kind of signs. I More
