I was watching a new game show on OWN called, Are You Normal, America? last week where the contestants try to determine whether certain situations are considered normal across America. The sociologist in me always perks up when I get to see how groups of people answer these interesting questions. Such as:
Is it normal to want to be President? or
Is it normal to let your pets sleep in your bed?

We are all so powerful. Sometimes we don’t feel this way – we can feel down and depressed and wonder if we are powerful at all. My intention with this post was to show each of us that feeling empowered is universal, and it comes in so many forms. It’s a feeling we’ve all felt at some point in our lives, and I believe that if we can remember how wonderful we felt when we knew we were powerful and always carry that with us, we will be unstoppable.

At some point in your life, you will realize that it’s time to start pushing.
You will realize that your dreams are just on the other side of your fear and trepidation and insecurity and all of that gunk that you really don’t want to deal with and just wish would go away. At some point in your life, you will have had enough. If you’re waiting for the stars to line up and everything to fall into place before you leap and make your dreams your reality, I have some sobering news for you: you’ll never get there.
