For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been completely immersed in a world that I hadn’t allowed myself to be a part of for quite some time: the world of creation.
It’s been a year since I was last here, actually. It’s been a year since I have felt the urge to step into this seemingly endless well of creativity – this vortex of imagination and possibility. It’s been a year since I have felt this magnetic pull and given myself fully to it.

A few months ago, my friend, Alex Blackwell (from The Bridgemaker), announced that he was compiling stories about letting go for a new book he was writing. He opened up submissions for each of us to share something from our own lives that we were happy to have let go of. He wanted to know how letting go had helped us surrender. How it brought us peace. And how it led us to feeling hopeful.
The beautiful book was just released, and I am honored that my piece was included in it. I’m so happy

Self care and I seem to have a sometimes on / mostly off kind of relationship. I know that I want to make it a part of my life, but it never seems to make it to the top of my list of priorities.
I know that I want to slow down, meditate, relax, journal, rest, and recharge, but it just doesn’t seem to happen as often as I would like (or as often as I need).
Because I’m a visual person, I thought it may make it easier for me to remember to take better
The last week has been emotionally draining for me. Between feeling completely powerless about a family crisis and still learning how to balance my life when I keep adding more in and haven’t been able to let anything go, it’s left me feeling depleted and absolutely exhausted.
After a week that was filled with worry and emotional ups and downs and being “on” and out in the world for many, many hours, I did the only thing I could do last
I love learning people’s quirks and idiosyncrasies: the things that make them unique, the things that you wouldn’t expect, the things that take them out of the box that you may have been putting them in without even realizing it. Those things.
I recently asked a friend what her favorite music was – we’ve been meeting every week online for almost a year and I was surprised that I didn’t know this about her. She said Heavy Metal, which I never would have guessed. I love
