I definitely can be stubborn. And I don’t always listen to the universe or to signs that are presented to me the first time I see them or feel them, especially if they are going to require me to change in some way.

I’ve been going back and forth on a decision for months. One minute, I move forward with it. And the next I step back.
I’ve gone within and asked my soul what I was meant to do. And I’ve also looked to others to help me gain clarity and grounding around this situation.
And still, nothing came to me. It all felt murky and unclear. Even now, as I’m writing this, I’m still not sure what I’m going to do. I’m still going back and forth. I still have half of my
Dan and I are celebrating our 12th anniversary of being a couple tomorrow, and so I’ve been thinking about love even more than usual.
I feel like I have had two lives: before Dan and with Dan.
The person that I was before Dan was hopeful but cynical – yearning but jaded – a dreamer but not a believer.
While I always wanted to believe in love, I somehow always seemed to feel let down by it. The love that I had built up in my dreams never seemed to come to be in my waking life.
I recently invited members of the Soul Speak community to share their Soul Stories – that moment in your life when you realized there was much more to you than just a human body, when you remembered that you had a soul, and when you felt on a deep level your connection to everything in the universe. It’s that moment when you felt completely loved and filled with light.

Okay, so here’s the thing:
We can’t make everyone happy. No matter how hard we try.
We can’t make someone do something that they aren’t ready to do or believe something that they aren’t ready to believe. No matter how much we want them to and how much we believe it will help them.
We just can’t.
We can’t make anyone see the world through our eyes. We can’t make anyone feel how we feel. We can’t make anyone do anything or say anything or feel
