This week’s Saturday Selection is a book that is very meaningful to me. I just finished it and couldn’t wait to share it with you!

Only Love Is Real
by Brian Weiss

I reviewed his amazing first book, Many Lives, Many Masters a few months ago, and couldn’t wait to read this book since it’s about soulmates, which is a topic that holds a special place in my heart.
(Please click here to read the review and learn more about Dr. Weiss.)

What Dr. Weiss does so beautifully in this book is weave the stories of two of his patients: Elizabeth and Pedro. They were both severely unhappy and grieving the loss of loved ones (Elizabeth lost her mother, and Pedro lost his brother.). They were hopeful that past-life regression therapy would help them heal from these devastating losses. Their souls had another agenda though – it was their time to reunite in this lifetime. (Which I believe they planned before they were born.)

Because I would love for you to read this book, I won’t give anything away other than to say that it’s an amazing story and a true testament to eternal love. True love can span lifetimes. And I feel that, other than reconnecting with our own soul, finding our soulmate in this lifetime is the most amazing, rewarding, fulfilling, magnetic experience we will have.

This book has special meaning to me because I am in love with and happily married to my soulmate. We met almost 10 years ago and have been inseparable since. We met on a dirt road in New Mexico – in the middle of nowhere, really. He was fixing his bike, and I was on a walk with my mom. When he looked up and our eyes met, I felt such a pull toward him. We both experienced this same magnetism, and we describe it as a familiar feeling – like we were simply continuing a conversation that was started lifetimes ago. It was (and still is) the most magical feeling – the most wonderful connection.

I have always been a hopeless romantic, and I adore hearing other stories of couples in love. I especially love hearing stories about lost loves finding each other, and if they are soulmates who have spent lifetimes together and have just been reunited in this lifetime, I am even more amazed and filled with joy.

If you do read this book, I would love for you to post your thoughts afterward.

Soulmates are such gifts – and the hopeless romantic in me wishes and dreams that we will all be reunited with ours.
