Everyone has an opinion. We all offer them freely to others – whether we are asked for them or not. And because we are each unique, our opinions frequently differ. Our opinions frequently clash.

We could choose to close ourselves off to anyone else’s opinion. We could isolate ourselves and close ourselves up in our comfortable world where we can be alone with our opinion – and only our opinion. However, when we do this we can’t grow – we can’t expand our horizon – our life becomes closed off and stagnated.

So when we feel that we are being bombarded with our own opinions and everyone else’s, how do we figure out which ones to take to heart and which ones to leave behind?

We filter them through our soul.
We sit with each one and see how it feels.
We journal about it.
We meditate on it.
And we trust our inner voice to help us decide.

In the last few months, I have been very blessed by having many wonderful people (some of whom are the best in their fields) offer their opinions for how I should proceed with this transition I am undertaking of going from full time crafter to full time writer and inspirer.

I deeply admire and respect each of these people who has become a part of my team. They each want to see me succeed – however I define that. They each want to see me reach as many people as I can. And they each have their own advice for helping to get me to that level.

Some take a more aggressive approach, and others go about things in a much softer way.

And neither way is right or wrong.

What I have to learn is how to take these wonderful opinions and seemingly infinite options and filter them through my soul to see what feels best for me.

I would encourage you to do this as well.

If you, too, feel a bit overwhelmed by others’ opinions, strategies, and ways to success – take some time to acknowledge how very blessed you are, first of all, for having such wonderful people offer their wise advice. And then ground yourself, check in with your inner voice, and filter out what feels right and what doesn’t.

This is a great sign of strength – being able to hear others’ opinions, and also being able to decide which ones you would like to listen to and incorporate into your life.
