I've been thinking a lot about success lately - what it means, how I define it, and how that definition has changed over the years. As many of you know, I've been on a journey over the last couple of years of pulling back - sort of hitting the reset button of my life and figuring out what makes me happy. I've spent the majority of that time lying on the couch while my body heals from severe adrenal fatigue, and so I've had a ton of time to sift and sort what feels good and what doesn't.

For years, I’ve been searching for peace – the kind of peace that warms you up on the inside and lets you know in a huge way that everything – absolutely everything – is right in your world. The kind of peace that feels like a warm blanket wrapped around you or the hot sun shining on your face and making its way through your entire body. The kind of peace that feels like a deep, deep exhale. The kind of peace that feels like heaven on earth. That kind.
I have a feeling that this post is going to ruffle a few feathers, which I promise isn't my intention at all. I just feel that it's time to address something that's been on my mind and in my heart for a long while now, and it looks like today is the day to do that. I don't think being selfish is a bad thing. Whew. I said it. It's out in the open.
