For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been completely immersed in a world that I hadn’t allowed myself to be a part of for quite some time: the world of creation.

A few months ago, my friend, Alex Blackwell (from The Bridgemaker), announced that he was compiling stories about letting go for a new book he was writing. He opened up submissions for each of us to share something from our own lives that we were happy to have let go of. He wanted to know how letting go had helped us surrender. How it brought us peace. And how it led us to feeling hopeful.

I love learning people’s quirks and idiosyncrasies: the things that make them unique, the things that you wouldn’t expect, the things that take them out of the box that you may have been putting them in without even realizing it. Those things.

When I sit down to write a post, I never know where it’s going to go. Similarly, when I sit down to create printable art, I let my mind step out of the way and invite my soul to create it.
I drew this flower and thought that I would fill each petal with positive words – words that describe our essence and our soul. So when we printed it out, we could look at it and feel uplifted by these words and take them into our hearts.
