I started and stopped writing three different posts just now. Usually, when I sit down to write, the words flow out. Usually, when I ask my soul what it wants to share, it has no problem jumping in and telling me exactly what it thinks. 🙂
Today though, it wanted to express itself visually. And so rather than continue trying to get it to write, I listened and let it create this piece of printable art for each of you:

As many of you know, my sweet dog-ter, Xena, died three weeks ago. And while she was 14 and had many health problems, I thought she would be with us for at least several more months. I was (and still am) in complete shock and complete sadness that she’s gone.
In this time of grief, I’ve learned so many things about myself and my life and my friends and my world.
I believe that there is a beautiful gift in every experience. I have More

I got my first job when I was 14. I was a “soda jerk.” (Definitely not the most flattering title, but it was a fun job – for the most part.) I got to scoop ice cream, make floats, decorate sundaes, and even yell into a blow horn and announce kids’ birthdays. It was a fun job and also a nerve-wracking job for a closet introvert. But… I managed to come out of my shell and actually had a great time.
