May 10

Thank you for joining us for A Month of Meditation!

Welcome to Day 10!

(If you haven’t read what it’s all about, please click here first.)

I’m so proud of all of us for showing up for ourselves. For knowing that our soul craves this moment of stillness in our day, and for taking action to make that happen. So let’s all pat ourselves on the back for that!

Each day, we’ll click on that Day’s page, and we’ll leave a comment stating that we meditated on that day. That’s all!

If you would like to write more, that’s definitely welcome. It would be really great if we could share about our experiences, too: how we meditated, how long we meditated for, and what the experience was like for us.

Many of us will be using the Re-Awakening Guided Meditation Program, so we can share our experience with that as well.

I’m so excited to get started!

Being a part of a supportive community is half of the fun, so please be sure to check in daily.

Now…let’s go meditate!

P.S. – Please remember to post the artwork on your blogs and share it on FB and Twitter! You can find sample tweets here.

  1. another metta meditation today for 30 mins. good feeling of loving kindness towards myself and others, feels like calm ‘heartspace’ and happiness, was more focussed today. Yesterday the feeling stayed with me for most of the day. Really feeling the benefits from this.

  2. Today I started delivery service by local farmers who provide a bi-weekly box of organic vegetables and fruit. I am quite excited for the first box to arrive next week. Since I have been doing subliminal health tapes, my taste for vegetables and salad have turned into absolute cravings for green crunchy leaves and fresh fruit. I find myself manifesting healthier and healthier behaviors and attitudes and this 30-day meditation challenge is solidifying these healthier attributes. Yesterday I honored my low energy and feelings and skipped dinner in lieu of sleep and school work. I was conscious about it and that is something I have needed with my eating to be conscious whether I eat or not. Before I merely forgot or ignored my hunger or satiated feelings. I have always been expert at ignoring my feelings and needs and I am humbly grateful that this is going away.
The sun is bright, but it is only 37 degrees outside and quite cold inside. I started the self-cleaning cycle on the oven (which it needed) and I am going to go with that ambient heat and some blankies to prevent turning on the heater. I am ready for a morning nap and deeper meditation about the rest of the year and my spiritual rejuvenation with my increased awareness of my mind and body. I will get back to schoolwork early afternoon. I just need to commune with my spirit for a nice peaceful moment. I love the relationship I am developing with the morning sun and the morning air (even if it is a bit nippy). Happy day and successful day for all I choose to complete and achieve today.

  4. I had a tough time with meditation today due to some overwhelming emotions. I did get myself calm and then I went for a power walk. All in all I did what I needed to do to take care of myself. Now off to the shower;)
    Sending love!

  5. Had a few goes that included husband coming into room, furrowing about and me trying to ignore him, the recording I’m using actually mentions that noises you hear are just life going on around us, so that helps.
Then he asks – you ok? I try and nod and brush him off, then it’s “Whatcha doin’?” Sigh. Explain and start again.
Still been going well, I’ve been a lot softer on myself this month, not worrying if everything on my to-do list doesn’t get done.

  6. I’m doing well and feeling pretty good about this May Meditation Month. Haven’t missed a day. It’s getting easier to get into the groove, get out of my head, and relax my body. Today could have been a crazyfreakout day at work, but I kept my cool. Yeah. Feeling pretty all right! I think I’m getting the hang of it…

  7. I just listened to the Future Self meditation from the Re-Awakening series, and I really liked it. I was able to ask my future self some things about my life, and I loved the answers that I heard. :)
I’m still resisting sitting still and meditating each day, but it’s on my mind so much more because I committed to doing it. So I am proud that I’m showing up every day and that I’m doing it and thinking about it when I’m not doing it. It’s becoming a part of my life, and that is definitely the first step.

  8. Just about to do a few more meditation sessions from the Reawakening series that I’m hoping will be followed by a nice, deep, through-the-night sleep. Haven’t had many of those lately and certainly could use one. I fall asleep for a while but wake up with panic and anxiety and have trouble falling back to sleep. Hoping for a new pattern tonight. Best wishes to all! xxoo

  9. Thursday 10th May 2012
A more successful meditation today of 15 minutes which felt as though it had only been a couple of minutes.
At one point I felt very heavy limbed and stuck in treacle but then that feeling lifted and a sense of peace settled over me.
I felt as though I was being enveloped in a warm embrace and ‘told’ to shrug of negativity which I will do my utmost to turn into positivity.

  10. Still wishing the Reawakening meditations were longer – which I view as a good thing. Switched from Angela’s voice to Stephen’s today. Feeling better about my meditation practice. Now, if I can meditate over the weekend when everyone is home, I’ll be golden.
