soul forward copyOver the years, I have met some truly wonderful people who also happen to be wonderful coaches. I have been blessed to receive some amazingly helpful insights from them and have learned so much because of them. Some focused on my inner well-being and others focused on my physical health. Some of them were business coaches who filled me with welcomed knowledge and others were intuitive coaches who helped me balance my chakras and align my energy.

As lovely as each of these coaches was, I never felt the need to continue regularly with any of them.

I knew that it wasn’t anything personal since I liked all of them so much as human beings. I knew that it wasn’t anything professional since I appreciated all of the heartfelt advice that they offered. I oftentimes felt a bit bad and guilty for not setting up more sessions or signing on for regular coaching, but something was always holding me back.

I now see why. None of these coaches was the destination for me. Each of them, in their own loving way, however, led me to the best coach for me – the coach who really saw me for who I am, who was connected to all that is, and who would always give me the best advice that I could ever need. These coaches acted as matchmakers for me, and I’m eternally grateful. Each of them, in their own way, led me straight to my favorite and most perfect-for-me coach of all: my soul.

Once I found my way back home, my soul and I got right down to business. Over the years, we’ve had countless one-on-one coaching sessions. We’re always together, so we don’t ever have to schedule a time to meet. I can be writing, and my soul will chime in. I can be spacing out in the shower, and I’ll hear its whispers. I can be at the beach and feel it walking alongside me.

My soul speaks such beautiful wisdom to me – wisdom that is always just what I need to hear (not always what I want to hear, but always what I need). It doesn’t always speak to me in words, either. Sometimes it’s in signs or energy or feelings that I then do my best to translate into words. It’s taken me awhile to be able to decipher its language, but with practice, we’re now able to communicate fluently with each other, which is amazing.

Like a good coach, my soul always has my back. I know that I can trust it. It has never steered me in the wrong direction, and I have always been delightfully surprised at each outcome it’s led me to – always so much better than what I ever imagined. My soul has such a vast perspective and can see far beyond what my human eyes can see. It acts as a bridge between me and the universe – helping me to better understand my place in all of this magic.

My soul knows me better than anyone else. We’ve been together forever, and so it’s had lifetimes to see how I work, be aware of my habits (good and not-so-good), and spot my excuses. It knows when to push me and also when to step back. It knows when I need a helping hand and also when it’s time to let me do something on my own. It respects me enough to step in when I ask for guidance and be quiet when I don’t (for the most part – unless I’m really, really needing help and then it will sometimes override me and step in, which is completely okay).

My soul respects my sensitive energy and only gives me what I can handle. When I tell it that I’m feeling overloaded with information, it gives me the space I need to process it all. It gives me just enough to keep me stretching without ever breaking.

My soul is my greatest cheerleader and confidante. It completely honors wherever I am, but it will never go down to meet me when I’m in a dark place. It simply holds me energetically until I’m ready to look to it again and join it in the light.

My soul has led me to my best friend/soulmate/loving husband, Dan, to my career that I love, to my dream home on the beach, and most importantly, to myself. It was always there, and because I’m now listening, we get to enjoy this journey together.

Because I’ve experienced so many miracles after allowing myself to open up and be coached by my soul, I know that I am a client for life. We’ll have our daily sessions from now on, and I know that I’ll continue to grow and expand because of them.

There are so many amazing coaches in the world, and I think the best thing that they could ever do is help lead us back home to ourselves – to our soul: the best coach of all.

Hugs,

jodi
