hearts togetherIt’s no secret that I’m super sappy. I wear my heart on my sleeve and strongly believe in letting people know how much they mean to me. I believe that love is the core of our existence and appreciation is such a beautiful way to express it.

So get ready for a sappy, loved-filled post because I feel like I’m about to explode with gratitude for three men who have absolutely changed my life. I know that I wouldn’t be writing, connecting, and sharing with you or living the life that I live if it weren’t for their love and support.

These men share so many beautiful qualities: they are all sensitive, loving, passionate, heart-centered, brilliant, supportive, and caring. They have each changed my life in such profound ways, and I’m so excited to profile them here!

Dan Teck – My Everything

dan-teck-250x2501

This one shouldn’t be a shock to anyone. Dan is my husband, my best friend, my life.

We’re about to celebrate our 12th anniversary, and I love him so much more now than I ever imagined possible.

Meeting him and sharing a life with him has helped me in so many beautiful ways. But the main way that it’s helped bring me to where I am now is that Dan opened my heart. He showed me what love – deep, unconditional, never-ending, always surrounding me love – felt like. He showed me that it was absolutely possible. And with this knowing that he has given me, I have not only been able to open my heart and let his love in, but I’ve opened it to all of you.

Everything in my life changed when I met Dan. I went from being closed off and cynical to getting back to my core, which is loving and open. Dan’s love led me back to me, and I’m so, so grateful to him for that.

His daily support means the world to me – he’s my everything. And I’m just so blessed to spend my life loving him.

In addition to being my husband and best friend and everything, Dan is a brilliant writer, an insightful life coach, and an amazing ping-pong player and Boggle champion. I love him so much!

Steve Harrison – My Mentor

SteveHarrisonphotoI met Steve just about three years ago when Dan and I enrolled in his Quantum Leap marketing program.

We knew that we had a loving message to share with the world, but we just weren’t sure how to go about reaching others with it.

Some amazing synchronicities brought Steve into our life – all signs made it clear that he was the one to help us with this next step.

And he did. In such huge ways. Before meeting Steve and his team, I had no idea what a mailing list, platform, opt-in, or affiliate program was. I had no idea about anything marketing related – I just wanted to share my heart in the most authentic way that I was able to, and Steve’s teachings helped me reach the people that I most wanted to reach.

Steve has helped many bestselling authors share their message, including Jack Canfield, John Gray, and now us!

He’s super sensitive, smart, personable, funny, and has a huge heart. He also wears his heart on his sleeve, and my soul knew that we would make a perfect team. His open heart, integrity, and honesty shines through in everything he does, and he’s been such an integral part of my journey.

He showed me what was possible and helped me reach for the stars, and I am so very grateful for him.

Alex Blackwell – My Connector

I can’t even remember how Alex and I met. I know that I have been in love with his blog for years – he writes from such a loving, authentic space, and I was immediately pulled in because of that honestly and vulnerability.

Alex feels like a big brother to me in many ways. He’s shown me the ropes throughout the years. He sort of took me under his wing and let me learn from him.

He showed me what was possible when we come together to support each other. He helped connect me with other bloggers who shared my message. He helped bring me into the Beliefnet family. He’s just an amazing person.

Alex is the real deal – that beautiful heart that comes through in his writing is really how he is in actuality. He is humble and helpful and supportive and kind. And my world is definitely much brighter because he’s a part of it.

I am so blessed to have shared my journey with each of these beautiful souls, and I’m so happy to share that gratitude here and give them the love and appreciation that they completely deserve.

We all have had people come into our life who are pivotal to our growth and who become an essential part of our journey. I would love for you to thank those people today. Share what they mean to you. And let them know how grateful you are for them.

It feels so good to spread love and appreciation around!

jodi
